AOTW - Week 10; Adam Follett - FAWM 2016

Something different for Week 10 - nothing mainstream. For those who don't know, FAWM stands for February Album Writing Month (http://fawm.org/). Adam is the boyfriend of a friend/ex-colleague of mine, and I've used a track of his in a video I created last year.



Favourite Track: We Are The Fictioneers

Least Favourite Track: I don't think there is one. At first I was unsure about a couple of tracks, but they then grew on me.

Summary: To begin with, I was unsure on a few tracks. There was a couple I loved straight away (We Are The Fictioneers, Melodramtica, Dust Devils, Do Re Mi Faux Pas), the rest grew on me after a couple of listens. All in all, a cracking album that I will have to add to my collection soon. It's hard to believe it was written, recorded and produced in just 28 days!

Last week I decided to pop along and take a look at the Mollusc, based on the edge of Chesterfield in a small park by a housing estate. Originally I wanted to be there for sunset, but when I went by, there were a fair few kids playing football on the park. Not wanting to either be hassled, or have parents come out, I decided to leave it. So I went back later in the afternoon - fully expecting it to be busy. Other than 1 dog walker, who left after about 5 minutes, I was all on my own.

Going To Try And Be More Regular

Ok, so it's now the middle of September. At the start of the year I set myself a challenge to create a video a week - which I've really been trying my best to do.  A couple of these videos have led to people contacting myself to help them create a video for their company/charity or whatever. YAY! The latest video I'm working on is for Chesterfield Operatic Society, which is of a World Premiere of Nicholas Nickleby.

Working On Nicholas Nickleby

My editing set up As I mentioned in the last post, I'm currently working on a promotional video for the World Premiere of a musical adaptation of Nicholas Nickleby. Whilst working on this edit, I was chatting online to one of my "online buddies" Godwyn, and started talking about the editing process. It was then I realised, how complex it can get - even for a small YouTuber like me. God knows how they go on when editing for a blockbuster film. For this video, I started off by creating a simple animated introduction using Adobe After Effects. I then created a bunch of "lower 3rds" for the cast/staff that I knew would be on camera. From there, I then use the dynamic link feature in Premiere Pro to drag these in and over the top of your video.
