Randomly Set

We are getting a Bedlington Terrier, and will be picking him up on 8/10/13. He was born on 11/8/13. His name will be revealled shortly. We went to view his at 2 and a half weeks old Getting a little sleepy now SWMBO fell in love with him straight away, and decided we would have him. So, we paid a second visit last night (20/9/13), just shy of 6 weeks old He was asleep when we got there, so were his sisters. But after a little nudge, he soon woke up. First thing we noticed was how well toilet trained he is already. The breader took him straight out, and other than a couple of accidents due to the excitement, he knew to go over to the door when he wanted to go out. Oh, and he bounces around, terrorising the other dog they have. And wouldn't stop wriggling about. I watched the whole trilogy in one sitting yesterday. This was the first time I'd ever seen the films. All in all, they were good, however, I wouldn't suggest to anyone watching them all in one go as they being to feel "samey". Here's my review in pictures

I've always said that I've never watched many "man" films that men "should" watch. You know, the likes of Godfather, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Star Wars etc etc..... So, after a discussion at work today, one of the lads has decided he's going to "man me up" (not in a gay way lol) and bring a dvd a week in for me to watch. His list so far is: Godfather 1 & 2 Scarface Bourne Trilogy Leon Pulp Fiction Fight Club Sin City O Brother The Departed I haven't watched ANY of the above. I'm not saying I haven't watched any, but feel like I'm supposedly "missing out" on some of these. The first three in that list have always been on my "to watch" list, but never got around to it. Other films mentioned included Star Wars, Trainspotter, Lock Stock (think I've seen that/most of that), Full Metal Jacket and a few others that went over the top of my head. I see he kitted up again to collect another trophy.Apparently, the ruling is, you can only collect a trophy if you have the team kit on. IMO, the rule should be, only 18 players can collect the trophy - 11 starting and 7 subs! Plus the manager of course.I understand he played in games leading up to the final, for which he will get a winners medal, but he had no part to play in last nights events! It'd be like Roy Keane kitting up back in 1999 when Utd won the CL Final. He couldn't play in the final because he was suspended, therefore, no part to play in the final, so no chance to lift the cup.What Terry is doing seems childish IMO. On a side note, the picture will be used at Pub Quizs and Question of Sport etc in years to come asking "what is wrong with this photo/footage"So, for the footy fans, what are your thoughts?

Yesterday, 29th March 2013, Good Friday, Jen and myself decided to go on a trip.  Well, when I say decided, it was a case of, I had to go to Chroley to take a part to a customer, and asked if she fancied a trip and go to either Manchester or Preston afterwards. En route to Chorley we had to pass through Stockport!  This was a first to me.  My god, what a poor road system they have! Roads are 2 lanes in each direction, despite not really being wide enough for it, people do what they like, and everywhere is 30/40mph!  Even rural roads! Not long after 10am, we arrive in Chorley and drop off a package.  We then stopped into the Morrisons they have in town for a brew.  Whilst there, we decided to go into Preston using their Park & Ride service.  If I remember correctly, we parked up win Walton le Dale. I've been wondering for a while what to focus my blog on, and it dawned on me recently.  Food, travel and running.  These three things seem to be what my life is based around at the moment. So, starting things off, here are a few desserts my partner has made over the last couple of months.  Future postings will no doubt include more pictures, and also recipes.  But for now, these will have to do. ---------------- Firstly, we have a cheescake that Jen made around the start of the year.  A simple vanilla cheesecake with some chocolate sprinkles on top.  The base was different from the usual cheesecake base, but I'll be dammed if I can remember what she used now.
